PinToku Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 19, 2026

PinToku ("the extension") is a Chrome extension that saves web pages and organizes them with AI-generated summaries and tags. This policy explains what data the extension handles and how.

Principles

Data we store and collect

Stored locally on your device (all plans)

These are stored in Chrome's storage (chrome.storage / IndexedDB) and are never transmitted externally on the free plan (except Chrome's own download of the on-device AI model).

Transmitted externally on the paid plan

  1. Cloud summarization: The text, title, and URL of a saved page are sent via a developer-operated proxy server (Cloudflare Workers) to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a summary and tags. The proxy does not store page content — it is discarded after processing
  2. Sync: To sync across devices, item metadata (URL, title, status), summaries, and tags are stored on the developer's server. Page content is never synced or transmitted. Deletion records are kept for up to 90 days, then permanently removed
  3. Billing / license verification: Payments are processed by ExtensionPay and Stripe. Your email and payment details are handled by those services; our server does not store payment information. An anonymous user identifier is used for license verification and rate limiting

We do not sell or share your data

We never sell, share, or transfer your data to third parties. External transmission is limited to the services above (Anthropic / ExtensionPay / Stripe / Cloudflare), solely to provide the extension's features.
